Flooded out

  • Nov. 7th, 2009 at 8:20 PM

Well, if today is any indication, we're in for some more extreme weather this winter.  It rained so incredibly hard that the arena was flooded out by noon for the seminar.  Luckily they found a back-up arena, and we spent the afternoon at a nice matted facility - so no complaints here!

Seminar was fun, I have really missed having classes, so different from training on my own.  Too bad Daisy doesn't come down more often.  My goal was to work on those infamous rear crosses with the Bun, and we had plenty of opportunity to do so.  First order of business, I really do have to stop just freezing up and just standing there when we do rear crosses - actual handling makes a difference.  Certainly just spending the day thinking about rear crosses helps me a lot.  Have some video when I get a chance to look at it, feeling like I have some things to practice with our rear crosses.  Hopefully tomorrow we'll work some more on them some more.  My goal is to at least have a clear picture of what I want to train with Haku with rear crosses.

Haku and Fred are just playing away tonight, have been at it for some time.  We're waiting to see if either one ever wants to stop.  More tomorrow!

I heard it is supposed to be a wet winter. Check it out those ears are still traveling upwards, it is like they are a little higher every day. He is the most adorable pup, he just keeps getting even cuter every day!
