A mind bender

  • Nov. 11th, 2009 at 10:55 PM

The arena is still drying out from the flooding last weekend, so courses tonight were smaller than normal.  Then I wanted to make sure there was at least one course where there was no danger of slipping on the mud at all, and kept that one mostly to the top of the barn.  Which meant that you went through the same area multiple times, and it ended up just being confusing as heck.  It was pretty amusing, almost everyone got lost after the second obstacle, it didn't take long to get turned around!

So tonight was a challenge of the memory:

Looking forward to seeing some results tomorrow from nationals.  The 'international' course didn't seem very, well, international.  More like a normal USDAA course, so it will be interesting to see what the other courses are like over the weekend.  I'm hoping to catch the livestream of the steeplechase finals at least, I'm not sure if I'll be around for the others.  So everyone needs to make sure they AT LEAST get to the finals in steeplechase!

Poco is like, "WTF?"  Haku didn't quite know what to make of having a visitor in his x-pen when the delivery people were here today

Haku--paw to the right...then slide the bar upward and press with your nose. I KNOW you can do it...escape! But wait--all the toys are inside the ex pen! Why do you want out?

The BEST toys are the ones you don't have access to

Those two both look like something has gone wrong, this is not how it usually is. The course looks like fun, I am going to set that up in the backyard, thanks for positing it ;-).

*The poodles chose to play in the relatively cleaner west end of the barn.
* Winnie reminded me that when discriminations are involved, it is best to actually indicate to the dog which obstacle you prefer that they take.
*Gabriel reminded me that when it comes to the Secret Agent Poodle, nobody controls the monsta.
* I loved their amazing right angle weave pole entry out of the tunnel.
*I wonder if Gabe will ever actually turn over a jump.

You are right about the European standard course. It looked fun to run as a warm up but not "international" at all.
